Astro-Med designs, manufactures, and sells data acquisition systems and ruggedized printers and associated networking devices under its Astro-Med® Test & Measurement brand.

Astro-Med’s DASH® data recorders are used in on-site product verification and troubleshooting applications.

Astro-Med promises that “Measurement has never been this easy” for its test and measurement customers who record and store product performance data using the Astro-Med DASH® line of portable data recorders. DASH brand portable data acquisition recorders help technicians and engineers troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and gather critical system data from machinery and electromechanical systems in the automotive, transportation, metal and paper mill, and power generation markets.   

Aircraft manufacturers, aircraft system suppliers, and governments are the primary customers of Astro-Med’s telemetry product and ruggedized product lines.

Astro-Med’s Everest® telemetry workstations are used in virtually all locations where aircraft and flight vehicles are launched. The Everest records real-time flight test data from aircraft – including commercial airplanes, fighter planes, missiles, and satellites -  and displays, digitally stores, or prints that data for fast evaluation by engineers.

Astro-Med’s ToughWriter® ruggedized airborne printers have been selected by the manufacturers of most new passenger jets and cargo aircraft.

Astro-Med’s ToughWriter® line of ruggedized in-flight printers and associated printing supplies are used to produce hard-copy printouts of weather maps, control tower communications, and other flight-critical information. Astro-Med’s ToughSwitch® ruggedized network switches are used to connect flight printers and other network devices on-board aircraft.

Astro-Med’s ruggedized Ethernet switches are also used to connect network devices in military vehicles.

All of Astro-Med’s ruggedized products meet published military or commercial standards. They meet shock, vibration, temperature, and electromagnetic emissions standards that are required for the commercial/military aviation markets and the rigors of battlefield environments.
